Amy Winehouse Diagnosed With Emphysema
As some of you may know Amy Winehouse has been ill and recently admitted to the hospital. According to perezhilton.com she has just been diagnosed with emphysema.
Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, is quoted saying the following to journalists about her recent diagnosis:
"The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her. The doctors have said that if she had continued the way she was going she could have ended up an invalid, she wouldn’t have been able to breathe. She’s got emphysema. It’s in its early stages, but had it gone on for another month they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there like an old person with a mask on her face struggling to breathe. With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes, her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She’s got 70 percent lung capacity. If she doesn’t go back to drugs, then she can lead this magnificent life. We are praying that that’s what Amy really wants. She seems resolute."
Now is a perfect time to say this:
Amy Winehouse put the cigarettes and crack pipe down! You look horrible and now your life depends on it.
Contrary to your song, you DO need to go to rehab, please hurry, go, go, go!

Poor Amy Winehouse, look at her, she is such a mess, wow!
Amy Winehouse is a nasty woman. She does look horrible, for her own sake I hope she gets better.
Can’t someone just show her that one picture? That’d do it for me!
I have had my share of bad moments, but wow! Rehab is a must here.
Amy Winehouse needs to realize she needs help. You’re right Jordasche, she DOES need to go to rehab – for a very long time!
Her father should spend less time talking with the media and talk some sense into his daughter before she is dead!
Totally agree Liz. However nowadays money seems to be even more important that a human life. It’s sad.
I feel sorry for Amy Winehouse

Life & Beauty Weekly: Expert Q+A
A: "This sort of kindness is rare, so it’s natural you’d want to reciprocate. But if you have offered to repay (or treat) her and she resists, there’s no need to insist on giving her money.
Also try not to feel bad that she always pays. Coffee isn’t a big expense, and it sounds like she enjoys treating you. She may do it because she appreciates your friendship or support at work. Or perhaps she likes having an excuse to get out of the office and doesn’t mind shelling out a few extra dollars for you. Regardless, just thank her each time she pays. Then, every once in a while, surprise her with a tin of cookies or muffins. Or once a month or so, tell her you are taking her out for lunch. "

Men’s Life Today: Expert Q+A
A: "There’s no easy answer as to why you get them. Ingrown hairs are more noticeable in men with really thick hair -- as ingrown hairs are more prevalent in people with thick hair -- or dark hair with light skin. However, there are a couple of key things you can do to heal them and prevent future outbreaks.
First of all, it helps to understand the evolution of an ingrown hair: After hair removal, as the hair starts growing back, the sharp tip of the hair curls back in on itself and digs into the skin, leading to inflammation and irritation. If you do get one, remember this mantra: Put down the tweezers. Plucking ingrown hairs invariably fails and causes additional irritation. Instead, try applying an over-the-counter cortisone cream to help relieve inflammation, then head to a laser dermatologist for laser hair removal (no, not removal of all your hair -- just the problem ones). Realistically, laser’s the only long-term solution for ingrown hairs.
Electrolysis isn’t practical because of the number and thickness of hairs involved. And as for waxing, well, remember the 40-year-old Virgin? Enough said."
