Some Facebook Users Have Panties in Knots

I know, I know. Calling Facebook a celebrity is more than stretching things, but this was just too silly to be ignored.

Check this out:

“A Facebook group formed for those opposed to the site’s new design is nearing 2.7 million supporters, and the leaders are organizing a two-day boycott to bring their point across.

The group, called ‘1,000,000 against the new Facebook layout,’ has greatly exceeded the expectations in its title and is encouraging its supporters to stay off Facebook during the weekend of Oct. 18 and Oct. 19.

It’s not the only Facebook group created to protest the new design, which, according to Facebook, has now become the default for almost all of its members. Another group called ‘Petition Against the New Facebook‘ has more than 1.6 million backers, while the group ‘I hate the new Facebook‘ has 1.5 million supporters.”

Wow! It must be a design based on dead kittens and broken dreams to bring on this kind of backlash, right? I had to check out my sorely neglected page immediately and found… nothing. I accepted a quiz challenge, kicked some grammatical ass and left unimpressed.

Now a part time sarcastic celebrity blogger should not be one to say “get a life” or “let’s concern ourselves with things that matter,” but come on!!

Here’s mine. I apologize for the poor quality, but I’m sick of trying to make it better so just click that bad boy to see full screen.

Anyone want to tell me what the big deal is? Life is change people.

Oops! Almost forgot. Here’s the whole article. Now I have to go take that other quiz and send some gifts. In the meantime I would love for some Facebookies to clue me in on this. What’s your opinion?

I’m not on Facebook because, frankly, I have two pages on myspace and I don’t think I could manage much more. I would have to surgically attach the computer to myself so I would always have it with me! I don’t know what everyone on Facebook are on about, but I will say that that Facebook page looks pretty damn boring! I’ll take MySpace over that every day of the week, but who didn’t already know that!

LOL, tell me about it I have 4 pages and they are all necesary. I tried using Facebook one time and I couldn’t figure it out so I logged back in to myspace and never looked back.

haha….I too logged onto Face Book one time and I never went back either. The reason is I am used to the myspace set up and the Face Book layout was so boring I didnt even attempt it. Like Michelle and Christina I have a bunch of myspace friends and getting a Face Book account too would just be too much.

I have a Facebook account, but I hardly ever use it. The only time I really look in is when I get an e-mail notice saying someone has sent me a message or responded to a thread I commented on. I was hooked on BINGO for a while. But honestly, I HATE the new set-up!!! I can’t find my groups.
