News Flash!!! Magic Johnson never said he had AIDS! He was found to be HIV positive. This is the virus, left untreated that leads to AIDS. He has been treating it aggressively since the early 90s. He is not “cured” of the virus. Rather his treatments have been so successful that his blood counts resemble those who have never contracted HIV. He can still infect others (although it is a lower chance than someone with full blown AIDS and if he stops his regime of medications he will become ill.

HIV can be sympton-less in your system for up to ten years. A test can detect it within several weeks, but you can infect people without knowing you have it. That’s why he says, “Know your status”!

I think it’s great that he is cured. He IS incredibly lucky! It’s people like that (those DJs) that make this world far below what it should be!

It’s a sad, sad world where people can take low-blows like that at others. Whether he has AIDs or not, it really is no one’s business to make judgments one whether or not it is true or not. These folks who think they’re right about him faking AIDs sure would feel bad (or at least, they SHOULD feel bad like any other normal human being) if they somehow found out that he really honestly did have AIDs.

This is absurd. I can’t believe those two idiots would even joke about such a thing. Not that I think you should be joking about it at all, but if you are going to you need to do that somewhere other than on public air. I really hope they are reprimanded in some way. I understand it is their right to free speech, but this is breaking the grounds of common respect as well as making it appear that neither one of thier mothers taught them any manners.

Ok well if he isn?t faking AIDS then he is the ONLY person I have ever seen servive this long, and also look as healthy as he does. So maybe it?s true or not, but it sounds and or seems fishy.

Actually, recent AIDS testing has shown that he is now disease free. He isn't the only person to be "cured," but I do believe (based on very very limited research) that he's the only celebrity to have been. Just b/c he is extremely lucky doesn't mean we should question if he ever had it. Why would he fake such a thing? What did he gain? He does have the money to spend on the best care!
