Ego 101 with Simon Cowell
The only other person I know of that is more into themselves than Kanye “Ego” West is American Idol judge Simon Cowell. How Cowell and West differ in egotistical tactics is that Cowell at least has the decency to first speak of how talented the person in question is before he makes it about himself.
Britney Spears performed her new song “Womanizer” on Cowell’s British version of American Idol, X Factor, and its clear Cowell is a big Britney Spears fan. As a guest on 102.7 Kiisfm which is a local radio station in my town Cowell tells host Ryan Seacrest:
“Of all the artists I have ever had on any of these shows, there was more buzz, more excitement for this girl than anyone else. It was as if the president was on the show. I love it. I think if you’re going to be a star, be a star.”
Cowell goes on to say that it would be crazy not to invite Spears to be a guest on American Idol when it returns in January. He further says:
“I would literally have her on my show every week for the next 10 years.”
See how we’ve covered the part where he says something nice about the person in question? Now let’s read as he spins it around at the end and makes it all about himself.
He speaks on how Spears was a bit shy behind the scenes:
“To be fair, and this may be a bit egotistical, I think she was in awe of me. She was just staring at me. I said, ‘Touch me, I’m human,’ and I think that broke the ice.”
Oh Simon, please! And then what, she let out the deep breath she had been holding in as the shock of being in your presence wore off?
I wonder if Simon Cowell and Kanye West are friends. Can you imagine? That would be a sight to see, they’d be at a table talking music at first and eventually get into a fist fight, probably started by Kanye arguing about who was more awesome in this crazy game we call life. I’d probably buy a ticket to see that ![]()

He is into Britney Spears??? Oh my GOD!! And I thought he was an intelligent man!! As bold as he is to speak his mind, I would think he would say Spears is crappy. LORD knows that’s what I think!!!
I think Britney Spears is a mediocre singer, but I do agree that she has star power, for whatever reason she can pack a house.
I think it’s because people today just don’t know any better. Britney doesn’t even have any redeeming qualities!! Her little sister is MUCH more attractive than she is! Everything about Britney is fake. Fake boobs, fake smile, fake face, you name it, it’s all silicone alley!!
I agree with Timmyfan. Britney Spears has no talent.

Life & Beauty Weekly: Expert Q+A
A: "This sort of kindness is rare, so it’s natural you’d want to reciprocate. But if you have offered to repay (or treat) her and she resists, there’s no need to insist on giving her money.
Also try not to feel bad that she always pays. Coffee isn’t a big expense, and it sounds like she enjoys treating you. She may do it because she appreciates your friendship or support at work. Or perhaps she likes having an excuse to get out of the office and doesn’t mind shelling out a few extra dollars for you. Regardless, just thank her each time she pays. Then, every once in a while, surprise her with a tin of cookies or muffins. Or once a month or so, tell her you are taking her out for lunch. "

Men’s Life Today: Expert Q+A
A: "There’s no easy answer as to why you get them. Ingrown hairs are more noticeable in men with really thick hair -- as ingrown hairs are more prevalent in people with thick hair -- or dark hair with light skin. However, there are a couple of key things you can do to heal them and prevent future outbreaks.
First of all, it helps to understand the evolution of an ingrown hair: After hair removal, as the hair starts growing back, the sharp tip of the hair curls back in on itself and digs into the skin, leading to inflammation and irritation. If you do get one, remember this mantra: Put down the tweezers. Plucking ingrown hairs invariably fails and causes additional irritation. Instead, try applying an over-the-counter cortisone cream to help relieve inflammation, then head to a laser dermatologist for laser hair removal (no, not removal of all your hair -- just the problem ones). Realistically, laser’s the only long-term solution for ingrown hairs.
Electrolysis isn’t practical because of the number and thickness of hairs involved. And as for waxing, well, remember the 40-year-old Virgin? Enough said."
