Taylor Swift Led A Sparkling Childhood

Written by: Julie on 4 July 2009 | 7 Comments |

Taylor Swift apparently wrote in her MySpace blog that when she was a kid she loved to pick up sparklers. This got her into a lot of trouble come Fourth of July.

The singer had this to say about her exploits as a child:

“I was always that little kid who would run around picking up used sparklers off the ground and I would inevitably pick up the SCALDING HOT BURNING end that was still smoldering. Then cue the screaming bloody murder in front of everyone and running into the house to ice your hand.”

Now that she’s an adult, Swift has learned to tread carefully when it comes to her July 4th celebrations:

“Wish me luck this year. I think I’m gonna wear gloves.”

It’s sad when we have to wish a grown woman good luck in not scalding herself. I bet the burn unit at the local hospital just loves her.

I can’t imagine why Taylor Swift chose to blog about this. If I were Taylor, I’d want to keep that kind of information to myself so America didn’t think I was an idiot.

But I guess it’s too late in her case.

She seems like the type to have had a great life. Good for her :)
