According to the Associated Press a Galaxy team mate of David Beckham’s, Landon Donovan, spoke ill of David in an upcoming book “The Beckham Experiment,” written by Grant Wahl, calling him a ‘bad captain’ and portraying David as being stingy.

Beckham is now replying calling Donavan “unprofessional” for speaking out without confronting him first confirming he will be speaking to him about it at a later time.

“It’s unprofessional in my eyes. In every soccer player’s eyes throughout the world it would be unprofessional to speak out about a teammate especially in the press and not to your face, but I’m going to turn it on a positive spin because that’s what this needs. But in 17 years, I have played with the biggest teams in the world and the biggest players and not once have I been criticized for my professionalism. It’s important to get this cleared up and I will be speaking to Landon either this evening or over the next couple of days.”

I think I’m going to have to agree with David Beckham and its not just because he looks hot in his underwear. I think if you’re someone’s teammate it seems like a betrayal for that person to go behind your back and speak ill of you. Have a little respect – sheesh!
