Dayum! There’s some serious dramz goin’ on over on Facebook between remixmasters Peter Rauhofer and Offer Nissim.
NYC-based Rauhofer is pissed! Seems Offer got hold of an a capella version of the new Whitney Houston track ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.’ Rauhofer has been commissioned by Sony for the official remix. But if Offer’s leaks first, which it inevitably will, it will beat Rauhofer’s mix to the floors. Not good! Here’s what’s goin’ down:
On his Facebook account, Peter writes, “Offer Nissim is an unthankful piece of shit! Yes, I am sick of his NEVER-ENDING attitude. Enough is enough!”.
Peter posted on a comment on Yinon Yahel’s wall (who is Nissim’s producing partner), saying:
“It is MAJORLY disrespectful for you and Offer Nissim to do an un-commissioned remix with a stolen new Whitney Houston a capella, going against Sony Music’s marketing & promotion plan AND going against all remixers who were officially hired for this new Whitney Houston track. This all JUST because Offer Nissim can’t take it that HE was NOT chosen to be one of the official remixers. VERY disappointing and simply disgusting how Offer Nissim shits on all of us here and mainly the hand that fed him throughout the last 5 years.”

I am sure there is way more to that story otherwise someone like Rauhofer (who by the way also is Madonna’s main remixer for the last 10 years) would have never reacted like this. But from what I know is that not even Sony Music’s lawyers were able to stop DJ Offer Nissim from all his fraud actions. Offer Nissim stole a CD with these Whitney Houston vocals from Peter Rauhofer’s CD case while they both were spinning at some party in New York – and that is very low class on its own.
I guess sometimes when nothing can govern someone you have to treat this person the same way he treated you to make him understand better. Offer Nissim chose a low road and that’s why he probably got a low road treatment in return! Being talented and having lots of supporters doesn’t make you invulnerable, doesn’t give you the right to steal or break laws (which this music industry STILL is based on). A lot of people out there (especially the new generation, who grew up downloading everything illegally from the internet) have no clue about copyright infringement or what this music industry legally is based on and they all cry “poor Offer Nissim” now…. Still, a well known DJ like Offer Nissim should know better …!

I love Offer Nissim but I personally think it was wrong what he did to Peter Rauhofer and lots of people actually do agree here. No DJ would accept this kind of betrayal from any other fellow DJ. Thank God Peter Rauhofer had the balls to step up.
Ok I normally don’t respond to these comments but I feel that someone needs to. I think we need to focus on the facts here.
1. Offer Nissim is getting very big and coming out with some excellent stuff with Yinon Yahel
2. Peter Rauhofer has had absolutely no success in releasing anything decent recently.
3. Peter’s parties are not pulling in the crowds.
4. Offer is getting a good response from crowds and becoming more popular.
5. BOTH parties have a bad attitude.
6. BOTH parties have acted inappropriately and have big swollen heads and egos.
7. BOTH parties have had “unofficial” remixes and used accapella’s from singles of all kinds.
This is a clear case of jealousy and Peter should suck it up. Offer and Yinon are artists and they are doing what is best for their career not yours, your record companies, or your artists (exactly what everyone else does). Peter Rauhofer’s issue with Offer Nisim’s action was more like this:
“Would you go ahead and steal the keys to your best friends new car just to be able to be the first one to drive it and act like its yours?”

I just have one thing to say… If Peter Rauhofer is such a “LEGEND” then why is he so jealous of Offer Nissim’s success and why does he care what Offer is releasing? Simple, because it’s better than anything he does… period.

His career is set for decades.
Offer Nissim is around for 5 years and is N O T H I N G compared to these artists nor do they even acknowledge him and hire him to remix their work. Lets see where Offer Nissim will be in 15 years with all his bootleg remixes and lies! That nasty queen already burned way too many bridges in such little time. I’d like to say that I have been in he music business for 20 years and I have done business with Peter Rauhofer and with Offer Nissim. Peter has been the most disrespectful party I ever had the non pleasure to work with.
Peter always spoke to me as if he did me a favor doing business with me and always mentioned his charts and awards as a means to pull rank and put me under his foot.
