Moron Monday Proudly Presents: Beckham Fights Back

Written by: Julie on 20 July 2009 | 3 Comments |

I mentioned in a story yesterday that Gerard Butler was seen hanging out with the Milan soccer team in L.A. during a hotel evacuation. The game they were in town for, against the L.A. Galaxy, was the scene of quite a ruckus caused by none other than soccer star David Beckham.

Beckham apparently became unhinged after he spotted signs held up by fans at the game that referred to him as a “fraud” and told him to simply “go home.” It turns out Beckham loaned himself back to the Milan team when he reportedly is under a $250 million contract with the L.A. Galaxy.

Beckham expressed his desire to play for the Milan team over the L.A. Galaxy, which pissed off the California fans that were supporting him. He allegedly screamed at a fan in the crowd and security had to be called to keep him from jumping over the barrier to get to that fan. Beckham left the field to the sound of jeers from the crowd.

People are just too brilliant for words, I tell ya. So all you kids out there seeking a role model, you’ve finally found one. What a wonderful, upstanding guy David Beckham is. We should all strive to be like him.
