Kanye West Appoints Himself As The New King of Pop
I’ve written countless articles on Kanye West regarding his lack of musical talent and what an idiot I think he is, but this time he has taken it too far. If you remember not to long ago he wanted to be Elvis then he described himself as a powerful superhero and the best in the music business. Then he claimed he was ‘God’s vessel‘….then he requested that we address him as Martin Louis The King Jr., now…now, he has appointed himself as the new King of Pop in place of the recently deceased Michael Jackson.
The following quote is from CosmopolitanChic.com:
“You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It’s so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I’m willing to take that on. There’s nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael’s crown and become the new King. First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century its Kanye’s time to rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael but someone needs to pick up where he left off and there’s nobody better than me to do that. I am the new King of Pop.”
Can someone please tell me what kind of drugs he is on? Seriously. I’ve never seen a case of delusion quite like this…Kanye West needs a good smack upside the head perhaps then he’ll be able to see the only thing keeping people from laughing at him is a little creation called auto-tune. Short of a flashing neon light in the sky it couldn’t be more obvious that Kanye West – auto-tune = no music career.
I can’t think of anything to say here that doesn’t contains words I shouldn’t say in a public forum.

MJ was the ‘king of pop’ due to record sales, and, to be blunt, talent in MANY areas.
Many people do not see Kanye as even a vocal talent.
Such a title is earned, not self-proclaimed. And, if you do self-proclaim something, you better back it up.
Elvis could back it up.
M J could back it up.
We can only hope Kanye may find some comfort, and self esteem, in the years to come, and stop trying to reinvent himself or ride the coat tails of others. Good luck with that.

well….all i can say is heaven help us all if he becomes the new “king of pop”. MJ moved so many ppl in so many ways. made ppl cry in hysterics over just a picture of him, let alone those who were fortunate to see him in person or even meet him. his legacy will live in for a very long time. for kanye to step up and claim to “pick up where he left off..” is just a disgrace and a slap in the face to the true king of pop. He could never, ever come anywhere near the magnitude and power of MJ. He is nothing; he is trash that has been deified by an uninformed and over-indulged, ungrateful, selfish generation. The fact that so many people are willing to pay to listen to his shit (and similar shit, created similarly by other similar wastes of human life) is one of very few facts that make me ashamed of America. We can be soo much better than this. This is the land of the free.. and this is what we choose to do with our freedom :’( I’m surprised our forefathers haven’t straight jumped out of their graves to stop our wonderful country from being turned into a whore by human trash like Kanye.

This made me truly sick to my stomach. I was already upset with Kanye after that little bit at the MTV awards. I thought that was harsh. But now THIS? No. I refuse to support him in any way, now. I wish someone had the balls to tell him what an obnoxious jerk he is, ad punch him square in the jaw.
I’m STILL not over MJ’s death. It’s really hard for me. And for someone (of NO talent whatsoever) to try and take his place is making his death seem all the more painful.
He will NEVER be right to call himself the king of pop. No one will. But to do it only 4 months after MJ’s death!??! I now have a new, deep hatred for Kanye West, and I hope one day he gets what he diserves.
Ps. MJ didn’t take Elvis’s place. Elvis was the King of Rock N’ Roll. *rolls eyes* Kanye West could’ve at least been classy in the common sense department.
