Bad Nerves Get The Best of Jesse McCartney

Jesse McCartneyAccording to Hollywood Crap popular Jesse McCartney sang the Star-Spangled Banner yesterday at NASCAR’s Sprint Cup race in Fontana in California and its reported that not only did he sing off key, but he also missed several verses of the song.

McCartney posted the following on Twitter afterwards regarding the situation:

“Here at the Nascar race! So much fun! Can’t believe I forgot the words to the Anthem! I’ve performed it 100 times. Bad Nerves today I guess.”

I think the tweets on Twitter ranging from “epic fail” to “idiot” and “moron”, were a little harsh. Jesse McCartney has a beautiful voice and he is only 22-years-old. He was singing the national anthem, I can’t begin to imagine how nervous I’d be if that had been me. It doesn’t matter how many times you do it, nerves can strike at any time and this was one of those times for McCartney.

Better luck next time.
