Fox Issues An Apology For Jessica Simpson Crack
According to The Plastic Surgery Channel an apology has been issued by Fox on behalf of Jessica Simpson for their animated skit on October 11th making fun of her weight on the pre-game show, FOX NFL Sunday.
While some may have thought it was funny most thought it was downright cruel. Marion Barber compares Jessica to Flozell Adams who is a 6’7”, 340-pound offensive lineman for the Cowboys. The following was the commentary if you missed it:
Marion Barber: “Man, I still can’t believe Tony (Romo) dated Jessica Simpson, even AFTER she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!”
Jason Witten: “Unlike Tony, at least Jessica comes up big when it counts!”
Head coach Wade Phillips: “Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle!”
I really don’t get all these cracks about her weight. People talk about her like she’s some kind of whale and she isn’t. Let’s face it, she’s not a toothpick like Lindsay Lohan or Nicole Richie, but she’s no lineman either. I think people should lay off making jokes about her being fat and move on to something legitimate – like her being dumber than a bag of hair. Anyway, the following verbal diarrhea is what Fox spewed out as an apology:
“Burger King did not have any editorial input in the creation of the animation that ran last Sunday, and no one from Burger King Corp., approved it before it aired. . .Upon reflection, our poor attempt at humor was insensitive, and we deeply apologize to anyone who might have been offended.”
“Anyone that might have been offended?” What about Jessica Simpson? That excuse was lame and faker than Tyra Bank’s weave. Doesn’t she deserve a ‘we deeply apologize to Jessica Simpson’? She is the one who is offended. Why would I be offended? Or anyone else? I just think Fox and anyone who has anything to do with them professionally speaking is a simpleton. Let’s not forget, per their own addmission Fox justs airs stuff that involves people or their companies without their input or approval. That’s pretty scary.
6 foot 7 350lbs compared to a 5 foot something 120/30lbs? What a lame joke. Add a lame apology and it doesn’t surprise me we’re talking about Fox. I can’t stand that channel.

I agree with you Jordasche. That was a lame thing to do and a lame apology offered up. Can we really expect more from Fox? I wish they’d be banned from television.
People are so mean I swear. This was totally uncalled for and I agree too Jordasche. The apology was completely insincere and should have been directed directly at Jessica naming her. I’m not offended because the joke wasn’t on me but I do feel bad for her. People really need to lay off her weight, she doesn’t have a weight issue.

Since you can’t seem to decide if you’re Trinity or David I’m just going to refer to you as dip shit in this response because its fitting. Let’s go over my name too because its quite clear you can’t read or spell properly – its JORDASCHE KINGSTON – not “jordan kingstoe”. Rather than defending Jessica Simpson you should be putting your time to good use getting something you obviously lack – an education. I guess I’d have to be as stupid as you seem to be if you think I think Jessica Simpson is stupid because she has blond hair. Tony Romo is not obligated under any circumstances to apologize on behalf of the Cowboys, give me a break. “She is actually very intelligent”? Because you know her personally right? As far as the picture I used I can use whatever picture I feel like no matter what it makes her look like because this is my website. Not only do I not have have to update it but I won’t be. As far as you saying I’m not able to take the heat in that I didn’t approve or reply to your lame comment right away, you’ve made yourself look like a dip shit once again. While I’m not fond of Jessica and yes, I too think she is pretty ditzy, this kind of behavior by FOX was just uncalled for. Women and girls have enough problems with body self image and now we have sportscasters dissing a woman on national television about her weight?! When will it end?
Also, David (or Trinity or whoever), are you a celebrity stalker because you sure are very passionate about Jessica? And how do you know that Jordasche doesn’t know her? AND do you know her? How do you know she’s not dumb?

Fox should have offered Jessica Simpson an apology because that was mean. In my mind she didnt get one. I agree with what you said Jordasche, why would I be offended? I think its mean yeah, but I’m not offended. I’m sure Jessica Simpson is and they really should have said ‘we apologize to Jessica Simpson…’
