Mischa Barton Backing Away From ‘The Whole TV Approach’
Mischa Barton has stated that its ‘unfair’ that her new show The Beautiful Life wasn’t given the proper chance to get viewers and was canceled after just two episodes. The actress now says she is only going to pursue ‘serious roles’.
She had the following to say about the situation yesterday to People:
“I think I need to back away from the whole TV approach. That whole world of network television, probably isn’t, for me, a good idea now. I need to start reading for more serious roles.”
She needs to make a career change based on something she is actually good at, I’ll give her a clue – it isn’t acting.
As to what her future hold, she doesn’t know yet:
“It’s too early to tell yet. I’m passing on all the early offers, because that’s not the stuff you want to do. I want to go fight for interesting things and look for something that’s going to be interesting for me … as a role.”
While she’s on the hunt for these interesting roles Mischa says her focus is working on her body:
“Now that I’m not doing the TV show, I’ve got lots of time to work out.”
She’s also got lots of time to up her IQ status, but I’m willing to bet that’s not anywhere remotely close to being on her list of things to do- now or ever.
