Michelle Williams Talks To Matilda Ledger About Paparazzi
Never in my life have I cried over a celebrity death until the death of Heath Ledger. I don’t even know why, but I felt like my brother had died and was quite upset for an entire week. To this day every single time I watch The Dark Knight all I can think pretty much the whole time I’m watching it and see him is ‘poor guy, poor Michelle, that poor baby, now she has no father’.
I think the part that made it so sad for me is that Matilda Ledger was left fatherless. I’ve never had a mother or a father and I know how painful that is to have to accept especially when the cause of absence is death in which case we can do nothing about it. If this is how I feel as a person who knows neither of them I’m sure I can’t even begin to imagine how Michelle feels. After Heath died it was only natural that paparazzi would be surrounding Michelle photographing her and the baby. That baby is now 4 tomorrow and not only notices the paparazzi but questions why they are there.
Michelle had the following to say about the situation to Vogue:
“I tell her, ‘It’s because people really loved your daddy that they want to take your picture, to know you’re all right.’”
And we can clearly see that she is doing great. I admire Michelle Williams for her strength and the fact that that baby has always come first no matter what Michelle is having to deal with in her life. Kudos to her for being a stellar mother.

Anyone who knows me, knows how hard I took Heath’s death. It was a great loss to this world. I am so happy to see Michelle honoring his memory with her daughter. Matilda was the light of his life.

I never even knew who the guy was until The Dark Knight, and I haven’t even seen that movie yet. I only know of him through what others have said about him in that movie. So his death had no affect on me at all. Except that it’s always a little upsetting when someone dies that young.
Now, when Michael Hutchence died, that was a different story. Not only did I love the guy at the time he died, he too had a very young child he wanted to see again so bad, but frog-eyed Bob Geldof wouldn’t let him see her. His daughter, Lily, was only 1 year old when he died. And what’s worse, Lily’s mom Paula died 2 years later, right in front of Lily’s eyes. It’d be a miracle if this doesn’t affect her now that she’s older. But from what I know, she’s already inherited her father’s good looks and great talent for singing.
I can’t wait to see Michelle Williams in Shutter Island. It looks awesome!
