Dominique Swain Forgets PETA Slogan
Barely known actress Dominique Swain apparently completely forgot all about the slogan she stood for when when she previously worked with PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Then Wear Fur” which was “Kindness is a Class Act.” According to Celebitchy the 29-year-old dropped off a box of eight-week-old cocker-spaniel puppies that her dog had with no shots and zero intentions of leaving any kind of a donation for the pups welfare.
A witness at the scene had the following to say about the situation:
“She was really strung out and just wanted to dump the puppies there, they had never even been to a vet. She was told that it was crucial that they had their shots at four and eight weeks, and they had to be kept away from the other shelter dogs.”
When asked for a donation so the required vaccinations could be performed, (otherwise the volunteers at the non profit shelter would have to pay for them) Swain allegedly made an excuse and drove off.
“She said she had no money, despite driving in in her BMW. She was really rude. Eventually she said she would make a small donation, but just left the pups there and drove off.”
I’m not saying what she did was right at all, but really, should we be surprised by such an act performed by a person who previously stated:
“Cruelty to animals is wrong. If all I have to do is stand in front of a blackboard naked to make people think about the cruelty that animals go through to make a fur coat, I’m perfectly willing. I’m baring my skin to save animals’ skins!”
You see? She said, “If all I have to do is stand in front of a blackboard naked…” She did what she thought she had to do and that was that. What more do you want from her?
PETA doesn’t really acknowledge the embarrassment saying:
“We’ve not worked with Dominique in years and there’s no excuse for her allowing her dog to breed in a city that is overflowing with homeless animals literally dying for good homes. There are free and low-cost spay-and-neuter services available all over LA. It is up to all animal guardians to fix their cats and dogs. If people don’t have the resources to pay for spaying or neutering, they can still find free clinics by doing the tiniest bit of research.”
Hopefully Ms. Swain will get her act together soon and realize that baby animals are like infant children in that you can’t just dump them places. If you do, the least you could do would be to make sure they are healthy by either taking them to the vet yourself or monetarily compensating someone else to do so.

PETA are nothing but a bunch of liars!! I don’t believe they haven’t worked with this woman in years. And PETA themselves hurts MANY more animals annually than the 5 or so puppies this woman probably had in that box and dropped off at the shelter! I’ll say this for her, at least she took them to a shelter where the chances of them finding homes is pretty good. It beats throwing them in a sac weighted down with a boulder and dumping them in the river to drown! And the PETA jerks would have just had them euthanized without even trying to find them good homes.
