Taylor Swift graces the cover of InStyle magazines December 2009 issue and says, among other things, that she feels no need to make any particular statement in an attempt at defining herself and states she will continue to be who she is rather than putting on some act.

“I don’t ever feel misunderstood”, she says. “And I don’t feel as if I need to make some giant statement and start wearing a completely different new wardrobe for the next project or start speaking in a different way or writing songs in a different way. When you start over thinking that stuff with your career, you stop being who you are and start being who you think you should be. And when you get into that space, that’s very dangerous territory. So I’m just going to continue to be who I am.”

I think those are very wise words coming from a 20-year-old. She is an intelligent, talented, and beautiful young lady. I wish her the best of luck with everything.
