Jordasche Bledsoe and Tish RobertsI attended Tish Roberts’ birthday party at the Hollywood Billiards in Hollywood, CA on November 14th, 2009. Ms. Roberts is a very caring and selfless woman and decided that even though it was her special day she wasn’t going to make it all about her. In addition to celebrating her birthday she also, along with Parris Harris, 321 Promotions and crew, put together an entire event officially titled “Rock Star B-Day Bash and Charity Phasion Show” with all benefits going to the Salvation Army.

My sister Corinna and I attended the event and we were quite entertained. First there were jokes and bantering between hosts, Ken Doll Johnson and Maryjane Green.

Not only was there comedy, but there was music too. Jody Banks and The Martianz were the highlights for me, but also present and performing was Ben Rombouts, Barris Kennedy Overdrive, Asphalt Messiah and D.I.E.

What’s an event without fashion? The people who attended this event wouldn’t know because Parris Harris coordinated an unforgettable fashion show featuring designs by Parris himself as well as Heather Petrey. See pictures HERE.

The event was tons of fun and all proceeds went to the Salvation Army.

Did the birthday girl feel her event was a success? She did, she had the following to say:

“Yes I do feel like I was able to accomplish my goal of bringing together a really diverse group of people to come and enjoy each other without any prejudges. We literally had a multi-cultured crowd with various age ranges and sexual orientations. We all networked, sang, danced and supported our community by coming together for non-profit “The Salvation Army

Rita Mar of 321 Promotions also thought the event was a success saying:

321 Promotions” as a promoting partner feels like the event was a total success. We had approximately 150 people at the show. I know that time are tough, but I was glad to see that “Tish Tha Dish” Roberts was able to assemble such an eclectic and eccentric group of people from our own Los Angles community to come and help to support the non-profit, “The Salvation Army”.

No event is able to be held without sponsors and this event was no different. Many thanks to the following:

Well Connected Gear, 321 Promotions, Ronz Pecan Piez, Le Dame Footwear, The 5 Signs DJ Crew, Zena Day Spa, David Kahn Jeans and Beyond Belief: Honeymoon at Burning Man the movie.

Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. 82 cents of every dollar spent is used to support those services in 5,000 communities nationwide.
