To the tune of $6.8 million dollars according to Sideways News. Via their foundation, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, the duo reportedly donated $2.1 million to the Global Health Council and $1 million to Human Rights Watch. $1 million was donated for another foundation founded by Pitt, the ‘Make It Right Foundation’ which assists residents of New Orleans rebuild their lives after Hurricane Katrina.

In addition to that the two also donated an unspecified amount to the Armed Services YMCA of the US Army as well as several projects in Cambodia where their oldest son Maddox was adopted. They also pledged $1 million to aid refugees in Pakistan.

I like how these two donate all year long and not just on holidays. I think it shows they really are trying to help the world. Some may think with all they make $6.8 million isn’t even that much, but I’ll tell you I may never come close to having that sort of money to give away in order to help someone so kudos to them. I’m sure every single person who was helped by the money they donated as well as all the others who are able to donate and do appreciate it.
