Destiny’s Child Lawsuit Settled

Destiny's ChildAccording to HipHop DX the members of Destiny’s Child (Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams) recently settled a lawsuit against them from back in 2006 when Ricky Allen alleged that one of their 2004 hit singles “Cater 2 U” was created by him and then stolen by the group and used as their own.

Speaking on behalf of the situation, attorney for Allen, Matthew Wildermuth, had the following to say about the situation:

“I can confirm that yes, it did settle. All of the issues have been amicably resolved and the case is going to be dismissed. [Allen is] excited about being able to devote time to posturing his musical career.”

Seems that all interested parties would be happy to get this resolved and out of their lives, but that wasn’t so for one member, Kelly Rowland. A source supposedly in the know told the New York Daily News that she was frustrated with Beyonce and her father’s tactics of business.

Kelly isn’t happy having to fight these allegations. She feels as though this is just another mess that Matthew [Knowles] got them into while only trying to serve the sole interest of his daughter.”

I don’t know how much she did or did not know so I can’t rightfully talk crap about what was said about Kelly’s feelings, but I will say that you can’t waste time crying over spilled milk. Get your boots strapped on and move forward. Kelly is beautiful and talented herself, she has a bright future and therefore shouldn’t spend it holding on to anger, or what sounds like a wee bit of jealousy.
