Katherin Heigl and Josh Kelley with baby NaleighThe last few days we’ve been talking about fathers who really should have invested in a bullet opposed to becoming a father, but Josh Kelley, husband of Katherine Heigl, brings a new light to fatherhood in his interview with Boot.

According to Celebrity Baby Blog, the singer who recently made his country debut has been so impacted since the adoption of his daughter, now 1-year-old Naleigh, that his new track will contain a song called Naleigh Moon, dedicated to her.

Kelley had the following to say on the matter:

“I don’t think I could’ve ever written a song like that without having a kid. You know how people write songs about things that they don’t really experience, but they’re so good at writing that they can do that? That’s not me. I have to experience it to write about it. And when my little girl started touching my beard and wanting me to hold her instead of other people, I was like, ‘Aw, she’s mine! And she loves me!’”

He continues explaining how wonderful she is and how she may very well be a singer just like daddy.

“She wakes up singing, instead of crying, which is awesome. She’s going to be a singer for sure. She’s a good baby. She’s spoiling us.”

I’m so happy the baby has her new parents and that the new parents have the baby. This seems like a relationship where everyone’s a winner. We need a lot more of this going on in the world. A special thanks goes out to the Kelley/Heigl family for being a great example and to every other parent out there who is honestly gives parenting all they’ve got. It shows. Go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back. I just did.
