Angelina Jolie Doubts Fidelity Is Essential In A Relationship

Angelina JolieThe actress recently did an interview with Das Neue magazine and had the following to say on the matter of relationships and fidelity:

“I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterward. Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

I think that quote would have worked out a whole lot better for me if she had left out the part about ‘it being worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterward’. So its better to cheat on your partner than to just leave him if you’re unhappy? Maybe I’m the only one reading it that way, but that’s what I got out of that and I don’t agree. Now if you take that part out I agree with her. Everyone is different and not everyone wants to be tied down to one person. There are plenty of people out there who are involved with more than one person and everyone knows about it and everyone is fine with it. Its a different lifestyle to some, but to some its normal and it works.
