My Blogging Goals For 2010
I recently signed up for a site called BlogEngage.com. Blog Engage is a web arena that allows you to submit your own blog articles that will be read and reviewed by other members of the community. The community consists of members with many types of interests as well as a blog filled with up to date information, challenges, and even a forum to use if you have questions or just want to engage with other bloggers.
Blog Engage’s challenge is what brings us to this article today. All members were challenged to write an article about the weekly word and this weeks word was ‘blogging goals’.
My blogging goals for this year are pretty simple. Outreach, outreach, outreach. I wrapped up last year fixing broken links from when I wasn’t all to keen on how this whole blogging thing worked, properly labelling all photos, fixing alt tags, as well as researching and properly implementing ways to increase my page rank, alexa rating, and overall traffic stats. Now that I have that pretty much down I intend to focus on providing humerous content and spreading it like a virus.
I read this quote the other day that said ‘you get out of life what you put into it’. I think this certainly applies to the blogging world too. I’m going to test it out – I think the results will be good.

That a girl! Go, go, go!
That’d be great for me, I’ve been blogging for 5 years. But I don’t know what kind of goal to set with my blogs.
Best of luck in 2010, last year was a huge learning year for me also, now it time for more content.

@Timmyfan The biggest goals are always to have good content and then be able to share it and gets lots of traffic.
@Bearman I totally know what you mean! I need to work with what I got to and then learn more. There’s just so much to learn and the information you can find on the net seems to be endless.

Jordasche I always say that quote! I say it all the time when people ask me how they can get more traffic form blog engage. To be honest with any website, blog community or career we can only get out based on what we put into it.
Thanks so much for participating in our word challenge. Did you get a chance to visit any other bloggers that participated?
So when you speak about out reach do you mean marketing?
bbrian017´s last blog ..The first time I know what’s the meaning of Spamming – interesting story!
Hello Brian.
The only way to see results is to put work into it.
Yes, I visited many participants blogs and they were all great thank you!
I do mean marketing, when I say outreach, yes.
Keep working towards your goal Dasche and you will succeed! Best of luck.
Outreaching is really the only way to get the word out about your blog. I love your site Jordasche – best of luck this year
Thank you Harry!

Life & Beauty Weekly: Expert Q+A
A: "This sort of kindness is rare, so it’s natural you’d want to reciprocate. But if you have offered to repay (or treat) her and she resists, there’s no need to insist on giving her money.
Also try not to feel bad that she always pays. Coffee isn’t a big expense, and it sounds like she enjoys treating you. She may do it because she appreciates your friendship or support at work. Or perhaps she likes having an excuse to get out of the office and doesn’t mind shelling out a few extra dollars for you. Regardless, just thank her each time she pays. Then, every once in a while, surprise her with a tin of cookies or muffins. Or once a month or so, tell her you are taking her out for lunch. "

Men’s Life Today: Expert Q+A
A: "There’s no easy answer as to why you get them. Ingrown hairs are more noticeable in men with really thick hair -- as ingrown hairs are more prevalent in people with thick hair -- or dark hair with light skin. However, there are a couple of key things you can do to heal them and prevent future outbreaks.
First of all, it helps to understand the evolution of an ingrown hair: After hair removal, as the hair starts growing back, the sharp tip of the hair curls back in on itself and digs into the skin, leading to inflammation and irritation. If you do get one, remember this mantra: Put down the tweezers. Plucking ingrown hairs invariably fails and causes additional irritation. Instead, try applying an over-the-counter cortisone cream to help relieve inflammation, then head to a laser dermatologist for laser hair removal (no, not removal of all your hair -- just the problem ones). Realistically, laser’s the only long-term solution for ingrown hairs.
Electrolysis isn’t practical because of the number and thickness of hairs involved. And as for waxing, well, remember the 40-year-old Virgin? Enough said."
