Lindsay Lohan Blames Dad for Alcohol, Drug Abuse
No surprise that Lindsay Lohan used to “mask (her) problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances,” according to an article in The Sun, but the fact that the highly publicized actress is actually admitting it (finally!) is a little shocking.
She tells the magazine that her father’s obnoxious presence in the media has not helped her plight to stay clean. Michael Lohan received his own fair share of publicity lately—most related to his telling the world how screwed up his eldest daughter is. Other news blurbs about the father blew up when he befriended the other nominee for Father of the Year, Jon Gosselin of the now-defunct TLC series “Jon and Kate Plus 8”.
“When my father was going public, that’s when I hit rock bottom,” she tells the publication.
Speculation of Lindsay’s drug and alcohol abuse began several years ago when the young starlet began spiraling out of control and showing up late to movie sets, creating a gaping hole in her resume now.
Lindsay says she was “terrified” of cocaine but wanted to try it to “see what it was like.” Lindsay admits to still drinking but said the drug part of her life is over. “It became uninteresting to me. I’m hyper anyway and I have that kind of personality so I don’t need something like that.”
Does this signal her comeback will be around the corner? She received positive reviews for several of her early stints, like in “The Parent Trap” and “Mean Girls,” but she has not starred in a feature film since the critically bashed flick, “I Know Who Killed Me.” We’re not counting the straight-to-ABC-Family movie “Labor Pains,” which actually received a couple of positive reviews.
What’s up next for LiLo? Will she revive her acting or singing career any time soon, since she’s reportedly kicked the cocaine?

Well maybe she’s not as messed up as we think. She seems to be thinking clearly because I think its all her dads fault too. And Dina’s.
I agree Carla. You can’t be loser parents and then question things when your children turn out to be losers too. If they were to take a good look at the situation from an objective viewpoint it would be self-explanatory as to the parts they really screwed up on.

She is an adult and to blame anyone other than herself for her drug problem is beyond immature and proves she is far from healthy.
Besides, I don’t believe for a minute she’s off drugs. Lindsey is a well-known liar.

Thanks for stopping in and commenting Mindy. I don’t think she’s off the drugs either. We’ve heard this time and time before. I’d like to see action not all this talk.
I think she is in self pity mode considering that I myself am a recovering alcoholic.”Poor me”…gotta blame someone else. I have been there and done that. It’s like cut the B.S already and move on. I don’t think she’s off the drugs as mentioned in the forum. Just because she claims she has quit the drugs (a major lie) does not mean she has cross addiction….for instance her alcoholism…it’s all mood alterating (substance abuse to get away from reality). She claims she can control her alcohol intake…whatever….what a joke…..wish her all the best. Maybe she’ll be on Celeb. Rehab with Dr.Drew or on an Intervention.
Ta,ta for now.

I actually loved Labour pains. I think she’s a good actress and I hope she deals with her demons TOTALLY and jumps back on the movie making bandwagon. She’s fun to watch

Life & Beauty Weekly: Expert Q+A
A: "This sort of kindness is rare, so it’s natural you’d want to reciprocate. But if you have offered to repay (or treat) her and she resists, there’s no need to insist on giving her money.
Also try not to feel bad that she always pays. Coffee isn’t a big expense, and it sounds like she enjoys treating you. She may do it because she appreciates your friendship or support at work. Or perhaps she likes having an excuse to get out of the office and doesn’t mind shelling out a few extra dollars for you. Regardless, just thank her each time she pays. Then, every once in a while, surprise her with a tin of cookies or muffins. Or once a month or so, tell her you are taking her out for lunch. "

Men’s Life Today: Expert Q+A
A: "There’s no easy answer as to why you get them. Ingrown hairs are more noticeable in men with really thick hair -- as ingrown hairs are more prevalent in people with thick hair -- or dark hair with light skin. However, there are a couple of key things you can do to heal them and prevent future outbreaks.
First of all, it helps to understand the evolution of an ingrown hair: After hair removal, as the hair starts growing back, the sharp tip of the hair curls back in on itself and digs into the skin, leading to inflammation and irritation. If you do get one, remember this mantra: Put down the tweezers. Plucking ingrown hairs invariably fails and causes additional irritation. Instead, try applying an over-the-counter cortisone cream to help relieve inflammation, then head to a laser dermatologist for laser hair removal (no, not removal of all your hair -- just the problem ones). Realistically, laser’s the only long-term solution for ingrown hairs.
Electrolysis isn’t practical because of the number and thickness of hairs involved. And as for waxing, well, remember the 40-year-old Virgin? Enough said."
