At first all was well. When Susan Boyle appeared on Britian’s Got Talent she noted Elaine Paige, known as the queen of musical theater in the UK, as the singer she emulated. Elaine Paige felt glorified and made a surprise appearance on The Today show last July to congratulate Susan on her sucess with the show in addition to performing along side her in a duet for the British TV Special “I Dream A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story”.
I don’t know what happened, but the tables have turned …

A big congratulations goes out to Susan Boyle whose debut Alum, Wild Horses, is at the top of the music charts beating out Adam Lambert and Andrea Bocelli. Way to go Susan!
The following are those who took the first 5 spots at the top of the chart according to Instinct magazine:
1. Susan Boyle – I Dreamed A Dream – 701,000
2. Andrea Boccelli – My Christmas – 218,000

Britain’s Got Talent crooner Susan Boyle has topped the charts before her album is even released. That’s not something you see everyday. Due to thousands of fans pre-ordering her album on Amazon.com, Boyle has climbed to the top of the charts, surpassing such legendary artists as Whitney Houston and the Beatles. Her album is set for release November 24th.
