According to CNN, an arrest has been made in regards to the death of the actor due to some prescription drug pads issued to the star.

The CNN statement reads: “’Attorney General Jerry Brown is not revealing details of the arrest, his office said, but it comes soon after he revealed that pharmacy records show the actor got thousands of dangerous pills from dozens of doctors in the past year.

The person arrested was not directly connected to Haim but is suspected to be part of the drug ring,’ Brown spokeswoman Christine Gasparac said.”

Before Haim died, he was suffering from flu-like symptoms and a 101-degree fever, inspiring the doctor to put the “License to Drive” actor on bed rest.

His death has lead to an investigation uncovering thousands of illegal prescriptions leading back to a drug ring located in Southern California.

InTouch received many details from the tattoo-covered model including amount of she spent with the “Monster Garage” star and how the relationship supposedly began—via email. According to her, she tried to ask about Bullock, but he didn’t want to talk about that and answered: “’She doesn’t live here. She has a house in Austin. She is filming, and I can’t talk about it.’”

McGee claims to have believed the two were separated, because she would have “never have hooked up with him if I thought he was a married man.” I find this little factoid about our tattoo model a little hard to believe though. No reports were coming out saying the two were separated at the time.

Stories surfaced earlier today that this adulterous claim is the reason Bullock cancelled her appearance at the London premiere of “The Blind Side.”

“Due to unforeseen personal reasons a trip abroad to support ‘The Blind Side’ has been deemed impossible at this time,” Bullock said in a statement. “I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your continued support of the film.”

Though it seems that McGee might fit James’ personal style more (he was originally married to porn star Janine Lindemulder with whom he has one child), I still don’t think it’s true. Mostly because I really want it to be a fame-whore’s lie for Bullock’s sake. Either way, the timing is odd, as with most “other woman” outings—right after Oscar night and Bullock’s ever-rising popularity? Seems a little too coincidental, especially since this affair “happened” almost a year ago.

A source in the know dished the following to In Touch Weekly as far as what she witnessed:

“She arrived with Adam from the back and sat in the VIP area. At one point, she got up and started dancing, and he was grabbing her waist and touching her butt. She turned around and gave him a lap dance and he looked like the happiest guy in the world.”

And it wasn’t even his birthday which is April 10th, 1984. I know he’s plenty old enough at 26, but I still think its gross she prays on men that, compared to her, are children.

Katy Perry has already been announced to voice Smurfette—the often-joked-about only lady Smurf of the village, so no girl-kissing for Katy here—and comedian George Lopez and actor Alan Cumming are set to give some blue characters talking abilities as well, Grouchy and Gutsy, respectively. Jonathan Winters will be Papa Smurf, and director Quentin Tarantino was reportedly going to voice Brainy, but his camp states it isn’t true. (The IMDB page still has him listed with the part though.)

Neil Patrick Harris also has signed on but in a real-life role that they will incorporate into the animation for the family film. Not sure if we should be thinking a “Mary Poppins” feel or what. He and onscreen wife Jayma Mays (guidance counselor on “Glee”) will be expecting a baby and find themselves meeting the Smurfs in some way. Chaos is sure to ensue.

Directed by Raja Gosnell (“Beverly Hills Chihuahua”) the part-CGI film is taking place in New York City’s Central Park and revolves around the characters in the popular children’s series of the ‘80s. The show ran for nine seasons and became a pop culture staple quickly with spinoffs and references galore.

She stated the following in a previous interview with Stuff magazine back in 2007:

“Oh yeah. I want to have, like, 15 babies. I’ve always wanted to be pregnant. One year for Halloween, I decided to be pregnant, so I got this nun costume, and I put a big belly under it. I showed my parents and said I want to go to school as a pregnant nun. My dad sat me down and said, “Katharine, you can’t!”

“I want it to be girlie and kind of on the bigger side but not too overwhelming because I’m so small,” the 22-year-old “Gossip Girl” actress told the magazine. “I mean, people would be like, ‘Whoa, cupcake!’”

Duff actually brought the cast and crew of the CW drama a batch of the pastries last year when shooting her guest role as Olivia Burke, but that doesn’t mean she wants to look like one on her big day.

Comrie proposed to Duff on Feb. 18 in Hawaii, shocking her, because she wasn’t expecting the question to be popped yet. She and the hockey star have been dating for two years.

The two don’t have a date set (or a locale in mind), but her sister Haylie Duff will play maid of honor, and when she came home from vacation, her friends and family already had brides’ magazines ready.

When the proposal was announced, the paparazzi obtained photos of the former “Lizzie McGuire” that left her upset, including one of her standing on a balcony and taking a cell phone picture of her ring to send to her mom.

“It was awful. We had no idea they (the paparazzi) were there; it was weird,” she told HollywoodLife.com.

Now, she’s just focused on the actual event and claims the process of planning is “exciting.”

“We want to keep it small,” she tells reports. “(Mike)’s like, ‘Whatever you want!’”

Becky has a sordid past that the audience is only privy to through minimal flashbacks, and we can gather that her mother was abusive and an alcoholic, so she left home at a young age. Living in Los Angeles, Becky aspires to work in real estate, but before she can make those dreams come true, she finds herself working with Chi Trang (Paul D. Nguyen), a seedy man who wants to make it big in the music industry. The two are business partners in a sense, but to simplify things, he is her pimp-like figure.

Unbeknownst to me before seeing this film, fantasy girls are not hookers per se and don’t have sex with their clients. Actually, the rule is that she will do anything for each particular fantasy aside from full nudity, sex and kissing—but the kissing thing, I did learn before from “Pretty Woman.”

Becky is known by her clients as Brandi, and she struggles with their requests, especially her main customer, Roger (Jon Morgan Woodward), who seems to have every fetish known to man and picks one out based on his mood of the day. She is also serving newcomer Bobby (Joe Luckay), who tells her “fables” and pays her for little work other than hand-holding and talking.

Aside from those two, Becky only has one other regular caller, businessman Sal (John Buckley Gordon), whose particular ideal date includes whips and leashes at his office.

Of course, Becky struggles with her lot in life, and the discomfort she feels while even walking down the Los Angeles streets is evident in her appearance—she’s often wearing oversized T-shirts and jeans with hair pulled back in a loose ponytail, perhaps symbolic of how she does not want to be gazed upon when not being paid for it. It seems Bravo’s script has multiple turns for symbolism throughout that one can interpret to mean different things. These feelings of normalcy vs. sexual dominatrix must be conflicting, and Becky also begins having trouble sleeping due to her constant state of anxiety and worry.

She only feels safe at a local café where the waitress watches over her in a motherly fashion. These simple and subtle scenes in the café are the true heart of the picture and keep the outlandish fantasy scenes somewhat balanced. (Though nothing could balance one sequence’s stomach-churning request from Roger—if you’ve seen the film, you know the part I’m talking about.)

“One Hour Fantasy Girl” explains Becky’s story to a certain degree but also leaves out some information that the audience could possibly use to identify with her plight. It’s unclear exactly how long she’s worked with Chi, and the possibility that they used to be friendlier in the past is briefly referenced but not explained. She is supposed to only be 20 years old, but like many films and TV spots, she seems older. Maybe she was forced to grow up too fast with her difficult childhood?

With tough material to cover (and based on true events), we feel for her painful attempts at success, but also, the level of depression she’s sinking into is a little overwhelming for the viewer. Unfortunately, Becky’s story does not seem to have too much evolution, and Tursi’s skilled portrayal is not tested for depth or the metamorphosis we desire from her.

Something the filmmaker definitively succeeds in is twisting the story from a direction it is assumed it’s heading to another one completely. When the players are first introduced, the upcoming plot points are not obvious, keeping the audience uncovering clues to the ultimate climax.

Technically, Bravo’s film is a decent effort of cinema, with some understandable sound and editing flaws due to small budgets and his still-growing list of experiences. Our main character lacks a certain draw and is often upstaged by her male counterparts, but Nima Fakhrara’s haunting original music elevates these stumbles to a degree.

Bravo has another film coming down the pipe called “The Magical Stone,” revolving around an 18-year-old boy raised by a schizophrenic mother.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Haim was laid to rest at the Jewish funeral home, Steeles Memorial Chapel in Toronto today. Hundreds came to mourn the actor, 200 guests made it inside the service.

Although news stories surfaced that the city of Toronto would be paying for these services, People Magazine states that this idea is not the case. Toronto’s communications director Kevin Sack told the publication: “The City of Toronto confirms no involvement in funeral costs for Mr. Haim. The City of Toronto has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Mr. Haim.”

In other odd news surrounding the event, Haim’s best friend and comrade Corey Feldman did not attend the funeral.

“The family has decided to make Corey’s funeral on Tuesday a small private affair,” Feldman said in a statement. “Understanding the recent media attention and to be respectful of the family’s wishes I have decided not to attend. Instead I will remain in Los Angeles quietly mourning and planning his memorial.”

Since Haim and Feldman were so close, this decision seems odd, but in times like these, it’s hard to say what the parties involved are thinking and feeling.

I hope the services went well, and the family can have some peace surrounding the sad and unexpected death of the “The Lost Boys” star.
